Only two days to Crunchy Christmas

by Ramogens 6. December 2012 15:48

Here at the Crunchy HQ we're both pretty psyched and pretty busy because there's only two days left until we kick off Crunchy Christmas - the xmas party of the year. "Of the year!?" you might think, and yes it will be. Nine bands and DJs and free beer and a cheap-ass merchandise stand and what have we. Lots of good stuff and especially lots of great live shows.

In relation to the party we asked our bands to send a little video saying hello and telling about how excited they are about their concert and the record label. Some behaved well and did like they were told (that's how we record labels like our bands) and needless to say, they're all totally in love with Crunchy Christmas and Crunchy Frog. Check it out for yourselves right here (The Malpractice and Shiny Darkly are texted for you foreigners out there).

Speaking of the new Snake & Jet release, you can stream the whole damn thing over at Soundvenue and in WiMP right now. It's a beauty, so, honestly, it's beyond us that you're still reading this... go listen!

Record Store Day

by Ramogens 18. April 2012 16:41

This Saturday - April 21 - it's the annual and mighty Record Store Day. A special celebration of all the great record stores out there, that let's music lovers indulge in long talks about obscure, new, weird or crappy releases for hours on end. And that carries new releases from small labels like our own instead of focusing on DVD's and Wii games. They're important for keeping a vibrant music scene alive and we strongly urge you to support your local record dealer. On Record Store Day a lot of limited releases are sold and special events occur alongside competitions and what have we. Find all participating stores here.

In Denmark we're throwing a little gift at Route 66, Copenhagen who will be selling the new LP from Snake & Jet's Amazing Bullit Band one week before the official release. And from 12.00-13.00 it'll be at the special price of 100 DKK. Another cool event in Denmark is the release of the Pop Revo program in Badstue Rock in Aarhus together with free beers and live music. A true day of celebration for vinyl junkies!

See you in your local record store!

We've bowed down deep for Ok Go before, and we're happy to do it again. Those guys have excellent minds!

Eddie Schweighardt is a cool kid!

by Ramogens 3. January 2012 09:09

Back in the Spring of 2011 we were planning the "Oh, the Irony" video for The Malpractice. A neat little story about a kid who bought a beautiful goldfish only to feed it to his pet piranha. One of our main concerns were how to find that kid. But left to the director, Matthew Thompson, and the producer, Oliver Hartman, it proved no problem. They found the perfect boy: Eddie Schweighardt. Charming and cute but still with a dark edge and most of all lots of talent.

Now Matthew just informed me that Eddie's talent (and not least dark edge) could be seen in the recent season finale of Larry David's hilarious show Curb Your Enthusiasm. And what a performance including both jews, Hitler, a sewing machine and swastikas!

We're talking Emmy material, people!

If we took the bones out it wouldn't be crunchy! Log in
