Jakob Martin Strid honored at the Royal Culture Award show!!!

by jakob 8. October 2012 14:55

One of our collaborators - the Danish author Jakob Martin Strid was finally honored by the royal Danish family.

Strid received Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary´s great cultural prize of half a million Danish kroner.

WOW!!!

That´s a lot of money!! But it´s certainly well deserved.

As an artist, he is best known for his satirical stripes in the Danish newspaper Politiken. But as an author, he received huge recognition with his children's book from 1999 "Mustafa's Kiosk".

In 2010 Crunchy Frog released "Mustafa's Kiosk" as an audiobook, with Strids cartoons in it. Our very own Tremolo Beer Gut made a soundtrack, and the wonderful Povl Dissing made the voice overs.

We just want to say congratulations to Jakob Martin Strid!! One of the finest authors in DK.

By the way, you can buy "Mustafa´s Kiosk" right here.

Tour De Crunchy

by Simone 6. August 2012 14:40

Three weeks ago the two cycling enthusiasts Kim Kix from Powersolo and Terry Attack from Thee Attacks did a simulator-race up Tourmalet on Danish TV. Always a pleasure to see team Crunchy win. And lose. Since life is not about winning or getting there first, we will keep the result a secret for those of you who did not catch the fight live. This is how it looks when you put musicians on two wheels.

Afterwards Terry talked about tour winner Bradley Wiggins, who’s a great fan of Thee Attacks. Mr. Wiggins himself also gave an interview about mod-culture and his passion for music. If you are lucky enough to have access to TV2 Play, you can (re)watch the whole thing by following this link.

And if anyone ever told you music and cycling are not compatible, let this picture prove them wrong!
